Welcome to the 2011 Giggle/Snort Awards

Welcome to the 2nd Annual Giggle/Snort Awards!

As the first (and as far as we know, only) awards to exclusively honour work within the 'humour' category, we make it our mission to ensure your funny bones are well and truly tickled.

This year we are mixing things up a bit. The awards started out being Twilight exclusive but that is no longer the case; we are open to all fandoms and original fiction now.

Everything from Harry Potter to Big Bang Theory, and whatever's in between, is accepted.

Voting ends 2nd July 2011.

Summer 2011 Winners Announced!

We are extremely proud to announce the results for the 2011 Giggle/Snort Awards.

Voting was ridiculously tight with an excellent turn out in the voting. There was only one, yes ONE, vote separating first and second place in some categories.

Voting Closed!

Voting has now officially closed! No more votes can be received and the final count has been completed.

Some categories were extremely close with only ONE vote between the winner and runner up.

We would like to thank everyone who took part in the awards (nominations and voting) and we wouldn't be anything without you all.

The calibre of entries this year was exceptional with the winners being well and truly dserving.

The results will be announced tomorrow (4th July) so please check back to see if your favourites are amongst them.

Thanks to everyone who sent in a nomination for their favourite funnies. We had a great turn out and it was good to see some nom's from SVM/True Blood, Supernatural and Harry Potter.

Following the torturous task of collating the results and putting them in a readable order, the nominations page is now open here (oh, and the little linky on the menu over there...).

That's right, the 2011 Giggle/Snort Awards are officially open!

It's time to get your thinking caps on and send in your nominations. This year we're not Twilight exclusive so all fandoms and original fiction are welcome.

Everything from Big Bang Theory, to Harry Potter and Gilmore Girls. You write it, you find it funny, you nominate it!

Please spread word of the awards! We're not too proud to beg, plead or offer bribes. Gasaway Alley will even get on her knees...

Last year was phenomenal but I'm sure we can make this year even better!
